72 The League, India’s first exclusive national professional golf league sanctioned by PGTI, has named Shantnu Nikhil as its Official Couture Partner, unveiling the Gentleman’s Jacket as the league’s signature award.

The jacket will be presented to the winning team and franchise owners of the six city-based franchises, serving as the league’s symbolic marker of achievement rather than a commercial trophy.

Designed in navy and cut in a clean single-breasted silhouette, the Gentleman’s Jacket features white piping along the lapel, pockets, and hem — a nod to traditional sporting blazers, reworked through Shantnu Nikhil’s structured, contemporary lens. Custom elements include a 72 insignia badge, subtle tape detailing, and an illustrated inner lining referencing golf’s rhythm and precision.

The league, launched in partnership with Game of Life Sports (GOLS), will begin on 21 February 2026, with the inaugural season staged across Classic Golf & Country Club, Jaypee Greens, and Qutab Golf Course in the Delhi NCR.

Each franchise will feature 10 professional players, selected through a player auction, with leading names from the PGTI circuit expected to compete. The competition will be played in a fast-paced match-play format, designed for broadcast and digital platforms.

Beyond competition, 72 The League will also include Pro-Am events, fan zones, and digital-first content, positioning the league at the intersection of professional sport and premium presentation when it debuts next year.
