The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) has announced a multi-year partnership with DP World, with the global logistics leader coming on board as the Tour’s Title Partner and Official Umbrella Partner.
The agreement is one of the most significant commercial investments in Indian professional golf and is expected to strengthen the Tour’s growth, infrastructure and international integration.
DP World, which is also the long-time title partner of the DP World Tour, will work with PGTI to enhance long-term sustainability, support junior and grassroots programmes, and create stronger global playing pathways for Indian professionals.
“Golf in India is experiencing strong momentum with significant untapped potential,” said Rizwan Soomar, CEO & Managing Director, MENA & India Subcontinent. “By supporting the PGTI, we are investing in grassroots development, nurturing young talent, and creating pathways for Indian golfers to compete with confidence on the global stage.”
Amitabh Kant, Board Member of the PGTI, said the partnership would give Indian professional golf a major boost.
“DP World’s global experience, international reach, and deep commitment to sports development will help the Tour scale new heights,” he said.
Under president Kapil Dev, the PGTI has expanded rapidly in recent seasons, staging 36 events in 2025 with a prize purse of over INR 35 crore, excluding the Hero Indian Open and the DP World India Championship.
“We are delighted to welcome DP World as our Umbrella Partner,” Kapil Dev said. “This partnership will strengthen our competitive structure, enhance opportunities for players, and accelerate the long-term development of professional golf in the country.”
The partnership builds on DP World’s growing presence in Indian golf, including the launch of the DP World India Championship in 2025, which the company hopes will become a regular fixture on both the DP World Tour and PGTI calendars.
DP World’s association with golf dates back to 2009 and has since grown into one of the sport’s most prominent global partnerships.
